Children are the future of the world and it is our duty to ensure that their needs are met.
CoirGreen® has carried out many projects in communities to support under-privileged children. We have helped provide them with school uniforms, meals, education, medical help, books and accessories. Our projects are based in rural areas where children do not have access to many basic needs. One of our future goals is to build a self-sustaining orphanage for the under privileged children .
CoirGreen® acts as a brand ambassador to help promote the use of environmentally sustainable products and to fight global warming and climate change. We believe that it is our responsibility to protect the environment for future generations. We also plant an adequate number of trees to replace the number of trees that we dispatch.
The contribution from cottage industries towards the coir sector is unparalled. However, the industry has been negative affected over the years, due to many factors, such as competition with large corporations and lack of support for their initiatives. CoirGreen secures the livelihood of many in the cottage industry by promoting the use of their raw materials.
