Jute Products

Jute fabric is a type of textile fiber made from the jute plant. While there are a few different botanical varieties of jute, one of the main species used to make jute fabric is Corchorus olitorius (white jute). However, another species of jute, called Corchorus capsularis (tossa jute) is considered to be superior even though it is harder to cultivate.

Hessian

Hessian is a plain cloth made wholly of jute with a single warp and weft interwoven, weighing no more than 576 grms/m2. Because it is made using natural fibres, it is entirely biodegradable. When laid over grass seeds, hessian can prevent the movement of the seeds during rainfall, runoff or wind.

All types of standard and non-standard hessian cloth are available: produced as per customer specification.

Jute Geotextiles

Jute geotextile is one of the most important diversified jute fabrics with potentially large-scale application. It is a cost-effective and 100% natural geosynthetic material which can be used for soil erosion control, weed control, vegetation consolidation, agro-mulching, reinforcement, and protection of riverbanks and embankments, land reclamation and in road pavement construction.
